Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson, an singer and actress from Los Angeles was born in 1983. The actress is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and his granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She was born in Los Angeles and raised there before moving to Brooklyn. Thompson is Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian heritage. Thompson was part of numerous productions in Santa Monica High School. In the years following her graduation, she enrolled at Santa Monica College where she earned a degree on cultural Anthropology. She starred as Juliet in William Shakespeare's drama "Romeo and Juliet" during a performance held by the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena, California.
